A visit to akustika: Ferdinand Schwartz
On Saturday, 5 April 2025, he will accompany akustika together with Musik Klier under the motto ‘Ferdinand Schwartz - my day at akustika’. Interviews with local manufacturers are planned, duets with other artists and, of course, he will also be testing instruments on site.
Ferdinand Schwartz is a 27-year-old German pop and jazz artist. He started playing the piano at the age of four. By the time he studied jazz piano and singing at the Cologne University of Music and Dance, he had added bass, guitar and drums to his repertoire. His diverse musical interests and his involvement with a wide variety of genres give him a broad artistic range from which he draws playfully in his work as a musician, songwriter, producer, arranger and musical director.
Since his career as a solo artist with his own music, he has had the honour of playing with acts such as Coldplay, Charlie Puth, James Blunt, The Japanese House, as well as national artists such as Max Giesinger, Wincent Weiss, Sasha and others, and has appeared on stage in stadiums, arenas and festivals across the country. The videos of these performances have already achieved well over 100 million views worldwide and have brought him into numerous television programmes and media reports, including the NME and Rolling Stone Magazine.
He regularly tours Germany with his band of high-calibre musicians, sometimes with well-known special guests from the scene such as Jakob Manz (sax), Jakob Bänsch (trp), Roland Peil (perc), Joshua Milo (keys), Hanniou (vox), Orbit (synths). He is currently working on his first album, which will be released in 2026.
